Job Description
Electrical Machinery Maintenance & Repair Technician - Taylor
Flexible For All Shifts - $28 to $30 Per Hour
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description - Responsibilities:

Read blueprints and electrical schematics
-
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
-
Assist in installation, remodeling, retrofits and rehabilitates equipment and buildings as needed
-
Communicate with the various Maintenance departments to maintain a productive and satisfying work environment
-
Inspect equipment and notify management and or Engineering of any hazards or defects
-
Responds to work orders and machine downtime calls in a timely manner
-
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all manners of electrical components
-
Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems
-
Performs electrical problem solving and assists with all aspects of electrical troubleshooting
-
Use computer systems to perform diagnostics on electronic components and PLC system
-
Use appropriate tools, such as multimeter, ampere meter, hand and power tools, etc.

Bend conduit and replace old wiring
-
Use skills and abilities to identify faulty equipment and identify parts and equipment needed to complete repairs
-
Install/repair control and distribution mechanisms, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, as well as conduit and wire
-
Repair critical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as electrical hardware upgrades
- 5+ years of Maintenance Technician experience
Job Description - Requirements:

Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems

Drug free at all times

PLC proficient
-
Experience reading technical drawings, electrical & pneumatic schematics
-
At least five (5) years of relevant electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
-
Mechanical aptitude
-
Employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on occasion
-
Working at heights of 10 feet or greater, operating lifting devices, and entering confined spaces
-
Ability to understand detailed electrical and mechanical schematics
-
Ability to effectively diagnose machine electrical and mechanical system malfunctions and concisely detail root cause(s) of malfunctions
-
Must be able to use analog and digital multimeters
-
Willing to work any shift
-
Able to express basic electronic principles used in electrical maintenance technician work assignments
Will Start on First Shift, But A Flexible Schedule and Hours Is Required:
Monday through Friday, Frequent Saturdays Sundays.
1st Shift: 6 AM to 2;30 PM, Monday through Friday
2nd Shift: 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday
3rd Shift: 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday thru Thursday

This is a "Temp-To-Hire Position" after 90-Days in a Union Shop.
