Extrusion Saw Operator
Midnight Shift - Garden CIty - $16 Per Hour
Extrusion Saw Operator
Extrusion Saw Operators review work orders to prepare workflow.
Operates saw setting operational gauges.
Verified correct cut length by using appropriate measuring tools.
Operates saw crane to place materials in racks.
Stretches extrusions, as needed.
This position requires:
Punctuality and excellent attendance, with the physical ability to perform duties assigned including but not limited to extensive standing/walking, extensive bending/kneeling/squatting, continuous lifting up to 75 pounds from floor to average waist-high platform, use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Review work orders to prepare workflow.
Help saw operator load material into heat treat racks.
Verifies correct cut length by using appropriate measuring tools.
Ensure spacers are properly inserted between layers of extrusion as needed.
Ensure proper piece count per rack is recorded on the production report.
Helps stretcher stack and stretch extrusions as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have working experience in a manufacturing facility.
Must be able to read tape measure to the accuracy of 1/16”
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, as needed.
Training:
Proper PPE Use (safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.)
Safety Rules and practices.
On the Job Training:
Saw Operations & Controls
Work Orders
Saw Crane
Saw Quality Check Sheet
Stretching, as needed
Various Measuring tools (i.e: Square, Tape Measure, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Midnight Shift: From 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Saturday
