Shop General Laborer / HiLo Operator- 1st Shift - Livonia - $20 Per Hour
This is a 6-Month "Temp-To-Hire" Opportunity
Client is a Structural Steel Components Manufacturer.
This position requires the Laborer to Load and Secure the Components and Material, as well as Unload the Structural Steel Components and Material, using the HiLo/Forklift, Jib Crane/Lift-Chain-fall and other Heavy Lifting Devices.
Job Description:
As a Shop General Laborer will perform the following Duties and Responsibilities:
- Warehouse
- Packaging
- Material Handling
- Load/Unload Trucks
- HiLo Operation
- Jib Crane/Lift-Chain-fall
- Paint Prep of Steel Structural Steel Components
- Spray Primer/Paint Application (Electro-Static Gun)
- Possible Driver Duties (MDL and Good MVR)
- Shop/Workplace/Work Space Clean-up
Additional "Big Plus" Skills:
- Clean MDL, or Chauffeurs, and/or CDL-B License
- HiLo/Forklift Experience
- Overhead, Gantry Crane and Boom Lifts
- Beam/Girder Clamps, Hooks and Rigging
- Being Very Familiar with the South/East Michigan Area
- People/Customer Service Skills
- Welder, Structural Steel Mig Welding Experience
Wage: $20 Per Hour
Report To: Shop Foreman
Shift: First
Schedule & Hours: Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM
Education & Certification(s):
- MDL, or Chauffeurs, and/or CDL-B is a Big Plus
- HiLo Certificate is also a Big Plus
Overtime Policy: Paid over 40-Hours Worked in a week, Sunday through Saturday, at Time and a Half.
A Pre-Placement Job Site Interview is required.
