Maintenance Technician - Detroit - 3rd Shift
$24.04 to $26.73 Per Hour +6% Shift Premium
Primary Purpose of Job:
Troubleshoots, repairs and modifies systems, production machinery and facility equipment as necessary. Installation of new equipment and components
Specific Duties:
Inspects, tests and troubleshoots plant equipment.
Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery.
Performs individual assignments as directed by team leaders and supervisors
Will function with general direction and little day-to-day supervision on routine repairs and maintenance projects
Assists other technicians, engineers and departments with line improvements and functionality of equipment
Installation of electrical, mechanical and fluid power systems in a professional manner
Responsible for adhering to and the use of all Kautex’s Quality Management System (QMS) Policies, Procedures and Documentation.
Required Training, Knowledge and Experience:
Strong electrical and mechanical skills as typically evidenced by experience and Associate's Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Technology or Certification in the field of skilled trades and 3-5 years experience in related fields.
Essential Functions:
Regular and predictable attendance
Operates fork trucks and aerial lift equipment to conduct work as necessary
Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and suggest applications of standard and non-standard techniques
Suggests design changes, test modification or recommends improvements in design
Functions with general direction and little day-to-day supervision on complex programs involving various equipment and instruments
Critical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently carries up to 30 pounds
Maneuvers in, around, under and about factory equipment on a regular and continuous basis
Majority of time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending
Works within an Automotive Manufacturing Environment, may be exposed to heat, cold, wet and chemicals
Shift and Hours:
Monday through Friday
10:00 PM through 6:00 AM
Compensation:
Wage Range is: $24.04 to $26.73 Per Hour + 6% Shift Premium (Determined after Job Site the Interview)
