Manual Machinist Job Summary
We are looking for a Manual Machinist to join our team.
In this position, you will help us create tools and other components using a variety of equipment, such as a manual Lathe, Mill, Drill Press, and Surface Grinders.
Our ideal candidate has completed a training program through an industry apprenticeship or earned a machinist certificate from a vocational school and has at least one year of manufacturing experience or has at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment as a machinist.
Knowledge of welding (MIG & TIG) a plus.
There may be times when there is no machining work to be done; in this case, you may be asked to perform other duties within the department or the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Hours: Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, but till 5:30 PM, as required and directed, is the norm. Saturday: 7 AM to 1:30 PM frequently required.
Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check Requires
This is a "Temp-To-Hire" Job Opportunity.

- Read Prints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job
- Follow the Prints to create the appropriate tools and/or components/parts
- Operate the machines required for machining operations
- Finish projects using manual tools
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure they remain in good working order
- Able to read Micrometers, Calipers and various test equipment and gages
- Manual Lathe machining experience
- Manual Mill machining experience
- Surface Grinder experience
- Printing reading skills
- Shop Math skills
- Must own basic tools
- At least 5-Years in a manufacturing environment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Be willing to work overtime when required
