We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanics Helper. As a Mechanics Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting our mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to our team's overall success and ensure the smooth operation of our automotive repair facility.
Mechanics Helper Responsibilities
Assist mechanics in conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine the required repairs.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, replacing filters, and lubricating components, under the guidance and supervision of mechanics.
Assist with the repair and replacement of faulty parts, including brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and engines.
Help in disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, ensuring proper handling and storage of parts.
Clean and organize work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Assist in ordering, receiving, and organizing inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize accidents or injuries in the workplace.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on vehicles and equipment.
Mechanics Helper Required Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automotive systems and components.
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools commonly used in equipment repair.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical strength and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience as a Mechanics Helper or in a similar role is preferred but.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Basic computer skills to record and access maintenance data.
Wage
$18-22.00 per hour, healthcare. Average hours per week 45-55 hour.
